wDSL Wireless Router

This wireless router can be used for LAN to wireless network connections.
The operating system is based on a picoBSD version of FreeBSD and is stored in solid-state flash rom.
The wireless side has built-in support for Lucent, Teletronics and Airolan wireless PCMCIA cards. The ethernet side has support for the build-in NE2000 compatible RJ45 ethernet port.

The router supports several configuration options which can be set remotely though a SSH session or a SSL webpage:

  • Fixed IP on wireless interface
  • DHCP client on wireless interface
  • NAT, network address on wireless interface
  • PPPoE, PPP over ethernet on wireless interface
  • Firewall with statefull packet filtering, incoming and/or outgoing
  • DHCP server on ethernet interface

    With an additional harddisk or larger flash rom the router can also provide:

  • Proxy server with optional banner or ad filtering
  • Secure and normal Webserver
  • SMTP mailserver
  • POP3 mailserver
  • Secure Webmail interface for remote mail management
    All options and settings can be remotely enabled from a secure SSH session or from a SSL webpage.

    The small router enclosure, 220*170*80mm can be wall or pole mounted and is IP66 watertight. Power to the router is fed through an ethernet cable from the inside of the building or office. The enclosure can be 'wiresealed' to control unwanted access. For additional security the radiocard can not be removed without dismantling the complete unit.

    The wireless router comes as a complete plug-n-play unit with radiocard installed. Choices of radiocards are Lucent/Orinoco, Teletronics or Airolan. Other cards like Raylink or Breezecom are possible on request.
